This situation is only going to happen more often. More drivers than there are seats. I have no idea how this will be resolved.

Why would VW want to sign another driver like JML? He is going to be Ogier's main rival in the future and I wonder if it would amke things a bit intense to early (but the publicity would be good too); but they have Andreas and Juho already. Plus a 4th seat.

Biggest difference is in the way the differentials work, seemingly alot better than Ford which is especially noticable on slow twisty roads, no major difference on fast roads. Also engine and suspension no major difference! This is said after the first tests...

The deal with Abu Dhabi has probably not officially ended yet. I think they will be obliged to have it on there till much closer to the end of this year. Who knows M-Sport may have gotten an extension with them.

Cool! I have not seen a wrc car being driven like that on tarmac for many years! It's like the good old days in the 90's. Very cool. But I think he is just having fun. In Monte he will probably be neat and tidy like always. But we can hope!

They would surely test both studs and no-studs to have usefull data for partly covered stages.

PG told me last year that the wide winter D10 Michelin tyre without studs is pretty useless on snow because it is too hard. He used those in Prague 2010 for natural Karlík stage but was slower even than Tlusťák on same car but with stock Nokian tyres with additional cuts. That stage was full packed snow/ice on asphalt.

Further it's a bit off-topic but I think interesting enough to mention :) That year also Valoušek used the Nokians, Pech, Semerád and Štajf used old Matador narrow competition snow tyres which were made for use without studs so they were soft. Bujáček used even crazier tyres - Vraník remould tyres which cost 30 Euro. They had very old tread Barum OR32 which was used to be competition tyre many years a go.

these tyres can be used with/no studs.Studs are 1,5mm long and can be used on dry tarmac for small distances without to get out of tyre.

Not bad but one thing that disappoints me about the new WRCars is the sound. The Fiesta is as bad as the Focus was and in the Mikko video the DS3 sounds like a misfiring canal boat under braking :(

Loeb has never liked Sweden and Finland and always driven them steady (except when others make mistakes and he is close to the win). So with this teammate - always favorite for these events, I hardly believe they will swap their team roles.

Eight-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb has praised Mikko Hirvonen's input into Citroen's pre-Rally Sweden testing, with the Frenchman feeling a new confidence aboard his DS3 WRC.

McRae does have a LOT of experience. And has a lot of connections in Australasia (he lives in Oz now), so is probably a good option for a manufacturer based down there. Plus I don't imagine they have to pay him a huge amount as he isn't as famous/sort after as someone like Ogier or Sordo?

I think that the Livery just for the test car, which they then shared for the Fafe Sprint. It's the test car.
