I stick by my earlier post - I think this will hasten Loeb's move to the sister company endurance racing side. It will be madness for Citroen to loose Ogier.

Also I understand that the new Fiesta did 1000kms testing on asphalt last week and 1000kms in the forest this week - with the 1.6T engine with no problems. Reports from the forest tests was that the car was amazing, and sounded great and looked fantastic!! Autosport.com also has PG reporting that "new breed of cars will be good"

indeed...it should.... but a "career" for some means championships and for others lots of money. I think Ogier will stay in citroen and only a big money difference can get him to ford...otherwise i see no reason to leave a french speaking/situated team for an english one.

Mikko tested today at Ouninpohja, propably the Yellow House jump part. Kankkunen also jumped in at one time, Hirvonen showing him how it's done nowadays. Kankkunen's test is next Monday.

Citroens have been also in the Central Finland, Sordo's turn being today.

i think the helmet cams catch the action quite well, why don't they use them in the actual rallies ? i think the shots would be amazing. safety/distraction issues by the drivers ?

Not on the helmet in that one like i said, but he's done that too and it looks so cool! The cameras WRC uses are not even HD and in 4:3 so they strech the image to 16:9 (widescreen) Go Pro will have external sound soon so you can get co drivers voice too.

Short version:
-First Juha is telling that he's trying to drive against kimi to have a fun challenge. But after that he says that realistically all WRC drivers and Kimi should beat old retired bloke if they want to achieve something in WRC..
-Feeling was good, driving a rally car is like driving a bike - you never forget it. Biggest difference to active years driving is that he is not going to take so much risks.
-Cars have developed a lot, especially low speed corners can be driven much faster. New cars are driven on much straighter line than cars he used to drive. These are mainly because of better suspension.
-At the end Juha "promises" that he's not on the podium, but he's giving his best. :)

If this is with the 1.6T it doesn’t sound bad at all and also looks better than the current WRC cars.

I`ll have to agree, seems my fears were totally wrong, this car already sounds way better than the current Focus, and also from my understanding there is still lot`s of power to come once they get the Pipo head, DI etc.
Must say I am greatly positively surprised........

I think they know organisers. I know an organizer which arrange the tests (authorisations for the roads, safety, ambulances, etc.) for WRC teams, and he tells me when they're coming in to test. ;)

since I don't know nothing about it.

How many times do the teams usually drive the stage through
before anything is changed. I know it depends on many things
but some guidelines perhaps.

And when they change something, let's say a suspension,
do they go from one end to the other or is just little by little until they hit the right spot.

What things can driver adjust in the car while driving?

Generaly, they used a track on 3kms. Between each setup change : 2 or 3 runs so about 12-18kms.
I think they adjust little by litlle and they try new things. Sometimes, they just change tires to try with several types of tires or sometimes nothing is changed because they will used the setup from last yeat for the rally and this is just to drive.

It's not a fact.

They'll have a new car there tomorrow and Mikko will drive three-day tests. JM will go there again on next monday and complete his final day of testing. So nothing to worry about. :)

sorry, but i cant get any holiday at the moment, and the test´s are almost 300km away from my home. i will be at the ford test´s that will be in august.
