Looks tail happy. If Neuville uses this set up during Corsica, I would bet a few dollars on an oversteered situation causing a puncture or even an accident.

Latvalas car, tough a little bit on the edge, is much more stable than Neuvilles. The small step out of the rear happens in quit extreme cases with a lot of camber or bumps in the road.
And the VW suspension is just - well - incredible.
It also seems quit stiff laterally (anto roll bars), and hooks up very good on acceleration.
Compared to this one can clearly see the "top heavy" attidtude of the Toyota.

Mikkelsen rarely tests as non-factory team driver. Ogier obviously doesn't need to care for this season anymore. though I suspect this won't affect the results

As far as I know the replacement engine they got just before Germany was not a new one, so maybe that's what he meant about the older spec.

Well, I guess I won a few dollars...

Neuville is one of the few current drivers that has the potential to challenge. The problem is that he is not aware of what makes him quick, and what makes him slow.
The worst thing is that it would be quite an easy fix.

Well I guess he has a problem with tricky conditions. Some drivers were describing Corsica 1st day like in Monte, and he has never been good there. So it might be kind of "normal" performance.... but, but, the most part of this year is just down for him. It is ok for 1st previous year with Hyundai with all the car issues, but now it is more like "I don't wont to be here, so just fire me".... He is gone for another team, or it's just not going to be any better.....

If teams are complaining about budget if we head to 14 rounds then maybe trimming the amount of testing days is a possibility?

It just strikes me that, 11 rounds into the season when you've already run on tarmac and gravel, and in the case of Citroen your car is almost six years old - what else can you really learn that you shouldn't already know?

I'm not saying they should cut development time on new cars or anything like that. Maybe it's something to look at from 2018 onwards when people have got used to the new spec WRC machinery.

So he decided to add China and let manufacturers decide about the round to delete from the calendar (not him or FIA).

- Manufacturers will say that they will not go for 14 rounds (in that case FIA has ready his move asking them which round they want to cancel, letting manufacturer take the decision and him "forced" to take it).

- Manufacturers agree with 14 rounds calendar and everyone is happy.

- Only one manufacturer don't agree with 14 round but given the fact he is the only one he will go for 14 rounds anyway.

You're right but it is not just a vote that count, you know well that manufacturers have had more power in WRC decisions that just their 4 votes. Now they have a bit less of power and it is a sort of a paradox because this is happening since they're growing in number...

By the way what I meant is that FIA just did not want to take (or to participate actively on) this decision, so that everybody will keep having good relationship with Todt and they all can manage this issue themself.

Mads was happy with the test, he got the feeling back quite fast. He has been driving a wery difficult car this last 2 years, so he feels more "at home" in the fiesta.

So many things, if you watch properly. The way he felt at ease in the first outing with the car; his improving pace; above all, his clean and effective style: it can be misleading, but it's damn fast!

Why would the video guy edit it in a twisted way after doing such a good filming job? I've also seen lots of testing sessions and I agree that driving all day up and down will make you look fast, but believe me, even from this little video you can already learn a lot of things on Camilli's great driving style.

ok Rally Power thanks for the answer. im not an expert on watching these tarmac videos thats why i asked. Yes, the driving is very calm and effective compared to Mads who looks nervous and tail happy but we know that Mads isnt good tarmac driver. But still the video didnt look that impressive for me. Hyundai videos look the best to me at the moment.

But like very common for French drivers, Camilli also looks to be very good on tarmac if you look at this results.
