We will have a fair mix of oval, road course, and temporary courses. I'm happy to form this partnership, and look forward to our first race."
Dr. Donald Panoz said, "I am delighted to form this new series with Bernie and Gerry. We will utilize the timing and scoring infrastructure currently provided by my American Le Mans Series. We look forward to inviting this series to a number of our current and successful venues."
American Grand Prix Series will act as a formal North American representative for international and FIA sanctioned open wheel racing. The series confirms it will use a proven and ready car formula, recently released by a former American based open wheel series, which will be developed and produced by Elan Motorsports.
