View Full Version : TV Package for Europe?

Hello,
Any idea re whether or not the now unified series will have coverage on Eurosport or Motors TV in the new season?
For the time being Sky and German Premiere advertise their future coverage. Does this mean only the channels who had the rights for the IRL will broadcast the new IndyCar?
This would be no good news for many fans in Europe.

I'd imagine it would be Sky Sports in the UK, as before. Which basically means no TV coverage for me. I'm not paying for a football channel just to get IndyCar.
Setanta on the other hand , I get for free :p

Looks like our best hope for UK coverage is for Eurosport or Motors TV to get hold of a highlights package, or for Channel 5 to broadcast their highlights at a reasonable hour (ie not 4am on Wednesdays).

Is this still the case for 2008?

I'm hoping Motors TV pick it up,
but I think Five US will be our best hope of seeing the series.
Like many I won't pay for Sky Sports. I don't like football, tennis, golf or cricket.
