AR1 is posting that ChampCar teams will be in Long Beach with thier ChampCars, but the points will be awared towards the IRL Championship. IRL cars will be in Japan.

If this is true, this will be the last ChampCar race. Who's gonna drop everything and witness the end of an era? I'll be there, all the way from Michigan, this is our last Harrah!!!

I just looked this trip up on Hotwire. There are kick * fares to LAX, and reasonable hotels in Long Beach. If this is the case, I just may have to do this.

Even if the Champ Car race is less than stellar, the ALMS show should be excellent.

I'm already in the long Beach area & have reservations at the Queen Mary, for that weekend. I'm still not sure if I'll be covering the IRL or ALMS, but I'll be there. For all I know, I may be in the stands.
