I have been here in China for 6 years now (I'm an Aussie by the way) and I do get 2 English channels that show all the latest shows from the UK and the USA, but many of them are reality shows. We got House,24, etc, etc, but I miss re runs of some of the old shows. I started using P2P to get some of these shows, and what a relief it is. Maybe some of the more mature members (that includes me :D ), will remember some of the old shows. This is what I have managed to get hold of so far.

Minder, The Sweeney, The Professionals, On The Buses, Allo Allo, Dads Army, Mind Your Language, MASH, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, F-Troop, Open All Hours, Gilligans Island, The Munsters. There are many more I would love to get hold of, so I have some old stuff to watch.

I am trying to get hold of an old British comedy called 'Love Thy Neighbor', it's a classic, but it would not be allowed to air these days due to it's content.
Does anyone share my love of old classic tv ?

Yep, I've been waiting a long time for repeats of "F Troop", for some reason it hasn't appeared on pay TV here in Australia.

Another favourite from the mid 1960's was "My Favourite Martian".

I'm sure UK TV showed "Love Thy Neighbour" here fairly recently, although I didn't watch any of the episodes.

We still watch "Hogan's Heros" occasionally and my wife still insisits on watching MASH, I think even I have seen every episode at least twice and I'm sure she has seen them all dozens of times.

I like the Sweeny and The Professionals and its a bonus that I also like oldish European Fords, I still have a mkIII Capri and have had many Escorts over the years.

I've just bought the first series of Auf Weidersien Pet (sp?), although I have to concentraqte very hard to understand some of the accents.

Some old Australian stuff I have is "The Naked Vicar Show", "Aunty Jack", "Australia Your Standing In It", some of it is getting very dated!!!! "Kingswood Country" is also good in small doses!

I love all those 70s shows for the cars as much as anything. What model of Capri have you Camelopard? I think Id every one from a 1.6 litre Mk2 to a 2.8i Mk3. I bought the first series of Hazell at Christmas, anyone remember it? The one that Ive been waiting for DVD release for years though is Targets, with Patrick Mower, the most violent BBC TV series ever, anyone remember it?

Talking of old shows:

We get on our Series Channel on satellite Knight Rider, The A Team etc etc.

Its good to re-watch these classic old series and realise how far modern day TV series have come!

It's a 2.8i which was bead blasted back to bare metal, rust (lots) was cut out, new front wings and inner front right guard, as usual I still haven't completed it, it's for my retirement! I'm very good at starting things and never finishing them.
Australia did not get the mkII nor mkIII Capris unfortunately, so mine is a private import.

Don't know of Hazell nor Targets, I would like the complete series of "The Prisoner", not that crappy Australian stuff, the one with Patrick McGoohan in it.

I admit that is one of the reasons that I love watching The Professionals, I also love Capri's, as well as the Escorts. Also, camelopard, I have tried to find Kingswood Country on Shareaza, but, not much luck. It was great for a laugh.
I managed to find I Dream Of Jeannie, (Barbera Eden was so fine back then), The Young Ones, The Goodies, My Three Sons, Leave It To Beaver, Mc Cales Navy, Get Smart and Some Mothers Do Ave Em. All classic shows.

There is only one: how The West Was Won or the Macahans as we call them in Sweden.
Zebulon Macahan for president, or at least statsminister :)

This is more like it! Something I LOVE talking about!

Some of the shows remembered I don't (i.e. How The West Was Won and My Three Sons) but I remember one classic that isn't greatly remembered. A.L.F (Alien Life Form). It was a US sitcom about a puppet alien called ALF (voice by Paul Fusco; though I thought Steve Furst did is. He is known for a character called Lenny Beige and being a supporting actor in Little Britain (the two sound the same).

IMHO though the best TV when I was growing up was kids TV. One repeat of a kids TV show I would like to see is of a show called Nightmare. It is sort of like The Sorcerers Apprentice which is on CBBC today except Nightmare is a zillion times better. It was very Gothic in theme. A group of kids went into a "castle" to meet this guy and one was nominated to go into this virtual world of puzzles and games to search for something and he/she had a big helmet with no eye-holes in it so his/her friends have to be the guide.

Come back 80's!! :(

I'd an early 2.8i, the two tone, blue over silver with pepperpot wheels and a 4 speed manual box. It wents well. I wish I'd kept it because they are real classics now.

That is the colour of mine although I only had it pained in the blue, I thought that if I didn't like it I could always paint the silver later. Mine has the 7 spoke 'RS' alloys. Some photos if it will work!

Sorry Jim, it's just when you said that Australia didn't get the MK11 and MK111, and said that yours was an import, I figured that you must be in Australia. So, have a beer on me mate  , while I take my foot out of my mouth
